When Strawberries Bloom tells the story of Lizzie Glick, an Amish schoolteacher who faces a huge dilemma. She has been accepted as a teacher, but cannot decide whether to continue teaching or to get married. Meanwhile, Lizzie faces discipline problems at school, and troubles at home such as her fathers strange sickness and her older sister, Emma, being engaged. She also isnt sure what to think of her friend Stephen, who suddenly develops feelings for her. Lizzies decisions will affect her entire future, but she has no idea what to do.
