The book, Truancy Origins was a well-written and designed book. It is about two brothers who learn of terrible things about their father. One decides to rebel against his father, and the other decides to stop him. The brothers are seemingly complete opposites, but is that really so. In this action-packed adventure book, the two boys find out their hidden talents and where their true destinies lie. However, to find the truth, you must read this wonderful book.
The book, The Gates by John Connolly,is a fantasy book about a young boy, Samuel Johnson, and his dog, Boswell. Not meant to necessarily be comic reading, the author weaves the story with a funny twist, so as to render a laugh or two in the process. Here is the plot of the story. Samuel and his friends (and dog) happen to stumble upon some strange activities going on at a neighbor's house, just a few days before Halloween.
The book, The Hunchback Assignments is a mystery book about a young hunchback boy that has a mutilated body. The boy, Modo, has a power that allows him to change his face at will. He is raised by a secret orginization called the Permanant Association whose purpose is promote the welfare of London, mainly by fighting the Clockwork Guild, an evil orginization. When a demented scientist of this evil guild decides to put into action a plan that threatens the whole city, Modo and a friend of his must go on an adventure to save London. What they find, though, no one expected.
The book, the City of Fire is an action-packed tale of magic and adventure. It is based in the year 1941, except it's changed. For this book, earth is a place where fantasy is reality. The Octopus Effect, written by Michael Reisman, was a good and adventurous book. I really enjoyed the action and excitement as Simon Bloom, the main character, discovered new abilities, while also finding new challenges. The book is based around the fictional Knowledge Union, a group that rules and controls the universe. However, lately, things have gotten out of hand. After defeating Sirabetta, an evil woman who wants to take over the Knowledge Union, they must defeat her again, against an even more powerful Sirabetta. To find out what happens, you should read this action- packed book.
Black Dragon Codex is a very interesting adventure book. It starts with a bang, and the beginning really holds the reader's interest. However, after that, there is a lull of action and it is quite boring for awhile. Then, the end is also very exciting. The two main characters in this book are Satia, a girl taken by a dragon, and Septimus, the black dragon that snatches Satia. An evil wizard named Thordane captures Septimus's mother, who transforms Septimus into a boy.
