Three young and adventurous children are outside playing when they decide to go wandering out into the forest to find BlackDaw Cottage. The children had heard many stories about the infamous Bentley who lived in the cottage out in the forest. Little did they know there would be a blizzard and they would be forced to stay with the mysterious old recluse. Bentley shares with them the story of Ivan and Gertrude and the children grow fond of the man they had once thought to be the devil.
