The book revolves around the camp Shadow Falls. It's a camp for people with paranormal powers like vampires, shape shifters, and others. The main character is a girl named Della, and she has family issues not even due to the fact that she is vampire. Her family doesn't even know she's a vampire, and I'm sure Della doesn't want to tell them either. One day Della goes home to visit her family, and finds a picture and letter from a possibly dead relative, and she wants to find that lost family member.
Paige is not your normal teenage girl. Her only friend is a girl who is dead. Paige is the only one who can see her too. The world around just thinks she's crazy and they call her Bellevue Kelly because of it. After a little while a new kid named Logan comes to her school, and starts borrowing her pink pens trying to get to know her. Then four new students come in to the school, and they all don't really like Paige. The thing is that every time Paige talks to her dead friend it opens a rift in between the real world and the dark world where all the demons are.
This was a really well written book. It had a lot of plot twists, surprises, and some action all mixed together very well. The main character is named Cyn Hargrave, and she is not your normal teenager. She can take in souls into her own body, and they live there until they can get into the afterlife. These people are called echos. She has no control over the souls in her body, and they can take her over at any time. They cause Cyn to black out, and they can take over her body. The other main character is a demon named Avian. Heaven didn't want him, and hell shunned him.
