Bronwyn is a star at basketball and seems to outshine everyone else. However, unbeknownst to Teegan, Bronwyn's life is full of hardship and pain. Angela Welch's novel, Nameless, addresses hunger, domestic violence, and everlasting friendships. Through Teegan and Bronwyn, she shows the importance of trust and kindness and also the hardships others experience.

Lies We Tell Ourselves was about an African American girl who was part of the NAACP and helped integrate African Americans into the school system. While she goes to this white school she is endlessly tortured, especially by a certain girl. However, as the book progresses these two girls learn to deal with their differences and start to maybe become friends.

His father, along with several other government workers, is a wanted "criminal" and has to avoid being captured.To keep Jamey, safe his father ships him off to the moon where Jamey, after being in a wheelchair all his life, learns to walk and takes part in a dangerous group called the Rangers.
