The Zombie Rule Book: A Zombie Apocalypse Survival Guide by Tony Newton is a book filled with 260 rules to follow in case of the zombie apocalypse and plenty of handy tips for when the undead walk. The book is funny, and provides a sense of humor combined with preparation for the final days. A few examples of rules are Rule #183, which states to make sure the thing you attack is actually a zombie, and Rule #179, which says to become an entrepreneur. The tips tell you how to pack your first-aid kit and survival bag and how to survive anywhere on Earth.

The Grey Star by James Bartholomeusz is the third book in the Bartholomeausz's Seven Stars Trilogy. The main characters have to face the evil Cult of Dionysus while trying to find an old friend. There are suprises everywhere that all of the main characters face, including a revered "master" turning into an evil leader. The characters perservere, and make it to a special mountain, where a greater suprise awaits them. Will they survive?

When the World Ends... by J.J. Marshall is an action-packed thriller of a book. The main character is Alec Corbett, the son of a hated official named Landon Corbett. The Corbetts live upon a space station called the ISS halfway between Earth and the moon. On the ISS, people are judged by where they live. On Level 1, people are thought to be dirty and plebian. On Level 3, the people are thought to be dignified. Alec lives on Level 3, but has a friend on Level 1 that his dad will not let him talk to. Landon is evil, and he doesn't like the people on Level 1.

Star Path by Joshua Tate is an exciting story about a young boy named Dren who grows up on the Forever Moon, a moon where almost no famous people have come from. Dren becomes the first person from his planet to earn a trip to a prestigious school. He meets some friends on the trip, but their ship is hijacked by strange men in black suits. Dren and his friends are killed, but they wake up revived in a hospital ship. They soon notice that a man wants them to work for him forever, but Dren and his friends say no and escape onto a jungle planet.

Shadow of Darkness by Rashad Freeman is an exciting story about a young boy named Anthony who discovers he has wings on his first day of high school. He tries to keep the secret to just him and a few of his friends, but the wings keep springing out at random times. Anthony also cannot control the wings to help himself fly. Then mysterious things start to happen. Anthony and his friend witness another friend being captured by mysterious men. Then his room is searched by random police officers. He travels to meet his uncle who lives in Colorado.
