Together during their forty-year marriage, Walter Browder and his wife Sue Ellen published fourteen books, with sales totaling over 1.3 million copies.  Among Walter's books are The Sand Castle (a young adult novel which won a starred review in Kirkus) and the bestselling 101 Secrets a Good Dad Knows.  Published posthumously, Legend of the Friendship Cats (with a prologue by Sue Ellen) was written for adult cat fanciers as well as for children.  A legend all cats allegedly know and love to tell, the story is said to have been told to Walter by his two favorite cats, Mr. Cat and Kizzy.
