I was born in Mykolaiv, Ukraine, under the Russian communist regime. I have experienced the formation of a new independent democratic Ukraine. I believe I was born an entrepreneur and have always had a desire to have my own international business. To fulfill this dream within my limitations, I quickly assumed that the English language could be the key to my goal. Hence, the urge to learn the language that I believed would help me in my global exploration. Back then, it seemed like a shot in the dark, but looking at it today, it was probably the shot that helped me take my first step towards my international escapade, which led me to where I am now.
During that era, finding someone with dual language skills, especially in English and Russian, was not easy. This helped me get my first international break with a job in the land of the Pharaohs — Egypt, as an indoor salesperson for a computer/electronics shop. The job required dual language skills due to the high frequency of Russian and European tourists in the region. Although this was for a short period, it eventually led me to the UAE, where I sought opportunities in Dubai, the land of opportunities!
