Mike Grabois was born in Chisinau, the capital of Moldova, before it became an independent country. From childhood, he was interested in figuring out how things worked. His toys were usually in pieces because he hadn't figured out how to put them back together. He became an engineer and moved to New Jersey, where he currently resides. But his interest in figuring out how things work never changed. Finally, he realized what attracted him to his profession: the constant need to think hard and the endless supply of puzzles to solve. He started writing to pass the joy and beauty of this process to others.
