Michael J. Brooks holds a BA in Art and an MFA. He is a member of the Independent Book Publishing Professionals Group (IBPPG), and his debut novel, Exodus Conflict, was a finalist of the 2013 Next Generation Indie Book Awards, in the sci-fi/fantasy category; earned honorable mention from the 2013 London Book Festival, in the science fiction category; and received five stars from Readers’ Favorite. He has been featured on The Authors Show and in the Spring 2022 edition of Review Tales Magazine.

Exploration of social issues, unpredictable plot twists, and vivid action and adventure are the crux of his novels. Dedicated to being the best wordsmith possible, his goal is to deliver absolute quality and a fun, well-written story. When not writing, he enjoys reading comic books, watching Netflix, and reading sci-fi and fantasy books.
