I'm a retired communications professional having the time of my life, happily writing away with my dog at my feet, the cat curled up in the file drawer, and my husband working in the yard. I started writing a newspaper column a few years ago and have now published two books, accomplishments I never dreamed of when I was working. I've been an avid reader all my life, and to this day can't bear to be without a book at hand. What's not to like about reading and writing to my heart's content?
