Julie Mathison has been writing for 30 years, as a student of literature, a lawyer, and an avid creator of all things fictional, be they literary short stories or books for children. She lives on a farm in Corvallis, Oregon with her husband and two children, four goats, eight sheep, one dog and more chickens than you can shake a stick at (literally – she has tried). She enjoys ambitious and tedious undertakings like running marathons, making jam, homeschooling her children, making jam, writing novels, and making jam.
