Julia E. Clements lives in the south of England with her husband, two children, German Shepherd dog and various cats and rabbits. She started writing children's books when her first child was about six years old. She used to love reading books by Enid Blyton and C.S. Lewis, and when she couldn't find anything similar, she decided to write some herself!

She loves Italy - the food, the country and the people - and has picked up some of the language over the years, which she likes to show off in her books. 

She hopes to write books that children will love to read and re-read over the years while accompanying them through their childhood and adolescence and leaving them with fond memories, just as the books she read have left their mark on her.
