I am an author, teacher, storyteller, producer of children’s enrichment programs for schools and libraries, and an authority on children’s anxieties with over 20 years of experience developing innovation ways to entertain, instruct, and inspire children. Even my frightfully funny chapter books in the Chronicles of the Monster Detective Agency series were designed to help children by inspiring them to confront fears and modeling ways to control anxiety. And children and adults alike are fascinated and amused to learn that my career as an author was inspired by…a TOILET.

Thanks to many wonderful patrons and appreciative readers, I have had the privilege of sharing my stories and performing my programs at over 100 schools, libraries, and book festivals across the country. In addition to personal appearances, my talents for teaching and inspiring children have been featured in all forms of media including print, radio, TV, and the internet.
