Jamie Dodson writes Nick Grant Adventure historical fiction, non-fiction, and magazine articles.

OnStage Publishing, LLC released his first novel, Flying Boats & Spies, in 2008. It won the Eric Hoffer award for historical fiction, and it is optioned for a major motion picture. OnStage released his second book, China Clipper, in 2010, and his third, MISSION: Shanghai, in 2012. Ardent Writer Publishing released the fourth installment of the Nick Grant series, Black Dragons Attack, in October 2017. 

In 2018, Schiffer Publishing will release a non-fiction anthology about the pre-world war two flying boat ear, Hunting the Wind, on Pan Am Clippers.

Dodson is currently working on book five of the Nick Grant series, with a working title of Samoan Clipper, and a memoir about the Green Berets and the Montagnards - the forgotten indigenous warriors of Vietnam.

Jamie Dodson is a career intelligence officer. He’s served with Special Operations, Airborne Infantry, Air and Missile Defense, Army Aviation, and assignments with our allies.

He has lived on three continents, the Hawaiian Islands, and numerous U.S. locations. Currently, he consults for the US Army Intelligence and Security Command.

He and wife, Dr. Joan Dodson, have called Huntsville, Alabama, home since 2001. The couple has two grown sons, a daughter, two spoiled cats, and a 110-pound German Shepherd “lap dog.”
