J. J. Harkin resides in Kentucky. A native of the Chicago area, he has been fascinated by religion, spirituality, and the metaphysical areas which lie in between since a very early age. Though a fan of authors such as J. R. R. Tolkien and J. K. Rowling, his first introductions to tale telling were the works of Kitty Anna Griffiths (a.k.a. "Mrs. G"), who taught him the value of natural dialogue and warm description. Even then the desire to pen an epic was surfacing, but the exact idea for a book took much longer to develop, for the world was already full of ideas. Only a decent student outside of creative writing class, J. J. never seemed capable of any job more affluent than waiting tables, yet always the fascination with storytelling remained. Now, after living a life foiled by nearly endless obstacles, he has finally reached his still point, unearthing from his subconscious the Angels of Apocalypse trilogy.
