Forbes West was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois and graduated with a Master's Degree in Political Science from California State University, Long Beach. He currently lives and works mostly in San Francisco, CA and owns a home in Ojima, Japan- a village five hours south of Tokyo by car that is in the foothills of Mt. Fuji. A screenwriter as well, he has written two short films that will be coming out in 2014- “Tipsy”, a sex comedy as well as “On The Border”, a serious western.  A cigar and film aficionado, Forbes spends the rest of his free time traveling and photographing. Forbes West's first novel, "Nighthawks at the Mission", displays his love of science fiction, strange mystery, humor and the strengths and weaknesses of ordinary people in extraordinary situations.
