David Lundgren was born and bred in Zimbabwe where his interest in all things musical flourished, along with his quirky (apparently) sense of humour. He studied further in South Africa, England and America and has worked as a musician, personal trainer, banker and, most recently, as an elementary teacher, but considers his stint swimming with stingrays as the pinnacle. His love for music has been a constant in an otherwise colourful and unconventional life, and to this day, the question that sparked his first novel flummoxes him still: why do some songs give you goose-bumps?
