David Burton

I was born back East, moved around a lot since I was 10. Ended up in the Army where I spent two years in Thailand. Talk about good duty.

I was a mechanic after the Army and traveled by motorcycle through Mexico, US, Canada and Alaska.

I moved up in the world and became a boat builder, building and sailing my own boats to Mexico, Tahiti, Hawaii, and through the Panama Canal to Florida.

Reluctantly “swallowing the anchor,” I was a cabinet maker in Colorado and turned to writing. Now, I mop floors and collect trash for money, write for a living, and am an unrequited sailor.
