I have been an upholsterer, a teacher, an energy assessor, a PA to high level executives in a multi-national company - also a PA to a highly strung, somewhat famous actress, but that didn’t last so long. I have been a caver and a diver. I have a black belt in karate, a paraglider license, and I ride motorbikes. I had one bad marriage and a second good one. More recently, I keep cats and dogs and chickens and pigs on a smallholding in rural south Ireland. I am female, but I don’t do heels and makeup; first and foremost, I am a writer. I am an ordinary person writing about extraordinary things. I write novels that take readers beyond the tedium of normality. Am I a good author? That is a decision you must make for yourself.
