This was a good book!  Rump is not only the name of the book but also the main character of this book.  Rump's mom died before she could tell anyone what his real name is and because of that he is teased by everyone except his best friend Red (Little Red Riding Hood). 

Rump finds his mom's spinning wheel and begs his grandma to let him keep it and she agrees.  Soon Rump finds that he has a special gift, he can spin straw into gold!  But magic has a price and every gold piece he weaves he has to pay that price.  If you want to learn more about Rump quest to find out his real name and what price he has to pay read this book!!!
