Sophie is a young teenage girl who thought her life was that of any teenage girl; that was until she found out she was a Greek goddess named Persephone. Sophie's memories of being Persephone came back to her slowly after she kissed a guy named Kai. Kai isn't just a normal guy though, he was the son of the Greek God of the Underworld, Hades. Theo is one of Sophie's best friends and is also a Greek God named Prometheus. Prometheus puts Persephone's goddess qualities into a human form when she almost died; Persephone becomes Sophie. Sophie has doesn't have her memories from when she was Persephone until she kisses Kai.  Even after she kisses him she doesn't get all her memories back right away, they start to come back slowly.  When students from her school start going missing she has to try and get them back. With her new goddess powers and two Greek gods on her side, will she be able to save her classmates? Read My Ex from Hell to find out.

Opinion:

I thought that "My Ex from Hell" was very well written and was very interesting. I enjoyed how the story was more than just a love story. Its main backbone wasn't the romance, it was more about the mythology and the Greek gods. I also enjoyed how there was some romance sprinkled in the story along the way but it wasn't the main thing. I thought it was well written and ended in a good spot. It didn't drag on and on, but it wasn’t like there could have been more to make it better. Overall I enjoyed the book.

Content rating - some mature content

Explain your content rating:

There was some stuff that was a little mature and it wouldn't be something that a young kid should be reading. I think someone in late middle school or older should be mature enough to read this book.
