The book starts off with a boy named Alex that is always getting bullied by a kid named Jackson.  One day a dog came and helped Alex.  Jason got distracted with the dog so much that Alex hears a voice in his head that says “run”. Then he gets a weird book and necklace for his birthday. After he finds out the powers of the necklace he goes on an awesome adventure through time and Egypt, and finds out more than what his textbooks say. He gets beaten up badly helping a friend. Will he ever make it back to his own time?

Opinion:

This was a great book! It was a book about a kid that gets bullied so much by a kid named Jackson. I also like how it transitions when he goes to Egypt. Background knowledge on the Egyptian gods kind of helped in this story. I like how the story gave a mystery throughout the book, on if he will ever get home. I would recommend this book to others because of the excitement, the great plot, and the way he is always referring to his textbooks and how they were wrong.
