LitPick Review
The Blackthorn Key, by Kevin Sands, is a thrilling adventure that takes place in the 1600’s in a little shop with Master Benedict Blackthorn and his Apprentice Christopher Rowe. Times were happy, with Christopher learning new things and making new messes, with of course, trouble along the way (like when Christopher learned how to sew up a bear because of a certain cannon). After the sudden death of Master Benedict Blackthorn, Christopher finds that he’s chosen to solve codes and puzzles left by his Master. While time passes, he finds himself deeply interested about the idea of solving the codes. But out of all this, Chris finds himself in trouble. Putting the wrong code in the wrong door can lead to danger!
Opinion:
I give this book five stars because I had the craving for mystery and puzzles and I got just that. My favorite character is Christopher Rowe. He's the fun one who likes to explore new things and find new puzzles. I recommend this book to anyone that is into solving things and finding mysteries to be revealed. It’s an adventurous, heart racing, page turning novel. If you get a chance to read it, I think you would really enjoy this novel as much as I did.
