Dahlia is a genie trapped in a locket attached to an ankle bracelet. Liana is the wearer of the bracelet, but from the first time she puts it on, things begin to go crazy. She meets Taffi, who offers to show her things she didn't know about her origins. Soon Liana is made aware of a new world and that she is connected to it. As more and more things come to light and Liana gets closer to Taffi, she will have to choose whether she will fight to protect her new world, even if it means fighting Dahlia's mortal enemy who so happens to be Taffi's father.

Opinion:

Tribal Affairs was an interesting book to read. I enjoyed how it was centered around themes of love and loyalty. I liked how even with so much betrayal, Liana didn't give into hate, but it wasn't my favorite to hear her keep repeating how she couldn't do it. I would recommend this book to those who like more of a mystical fantasy.
