After jumping into the river on his way back to FeyTerrah, Dreamer Riverlord wants one more glance at his fiancée, so he looks back. Upon looking back, he cuts off the connection and is unable to return to his home in FeyTerrah. Because he is forced to stay on Earth, Dreamer finds ways to keep himself occupied with the new situation of Fey Watchers and the unreturned rings.

The fight has been brought to Earth and is raging at its peak when they finally break into the enemy's base.

Kristi hates the place and is trying to get herself kicked out by humiliating her history teacher, Xavier Arnold. She rigs up his desk with explosive fireworks, unscrews his desk chair, and basically just annoys him every waking hour at Washington Prep.

Sebastian continues to use his wealth to create suits that turn him into a Super-Normal and his alter ego, Paladin, in order to protect the streets of Chicago, that in recent years have become a lot crazier. After many Normals were changed into Super-Normals, the dynamic of the planet has changed; it again turned into a war between differences. A lot deadlier war, a war in which the Super-Normals had to choose a side, a side between humanity or evolution of humanity.
